BOURNEMOUTH GRASS SUMMER SEVENS 2012

This year we are using a 4-pitch venue at Bournemouth School. Changing rooms and showers will be available. The plan is to run three seeded divisions of nine.

The intention of the Summer Sevens is to give players the opportunity to enjoy organised and competitive football during the close season. However, in order to get the required level of discipline the competition will be F. A. affiliated and F.A. qualified referees will be used.

Games will be of two twenty minute halves and played between 6.45pm and 9pm each week. The season will run from approx mid-May to mid-July (approx.9 weeks). The final format for the league and cup competitions will be decided when entry numbers are finalised early in May.

COST OF ENTRY

The pitches are being specially set up for this competition and this cost, plus pitch hire, referees, administration, individual team changing and shower facilities, have to be covered by the teams. We expect the cost of each evening's play will be £27 per team (Less than £3.50 per player for squad of 8). To combat teams not playing all their games and owing money we are asking each team to pay £66 before entry. £12 of this will cover set up and Hampshire F.A. costs and the other £54 will be returned on completion of all fixtures.
